We get asked a lot if our Southern Inks are Oil or Rubber base.....we like to call them a hybrid, they are made with some of the components of both Rubber base and Oil base inks. We have formulated them to stay open like a typical Rubber base ink while drying quickly on the sheet like an Oil base. This keeps you from losing ink because you no longer have to "skin" the top, and lets you leave the ink on equipment longer. When printed, it dries quickly and lets you back your job up more quickly.
Maybe the coolest part is that we have tested our inks with multiple brands and types of inks and have found them compatible to be mixed with most Rubber base or Oil base inks that you already have in your shop! This lets you work off old inventory while you make the switch to being a Southern Ink shop :)
