On January 1, 2026, the letterpress side of our work will continue through Blue Press Ink — a new, independent company dedicated solely to letterpress printers and artists.
Blue Press Ink isn’t owned by Southern Ink Company, but it was created by the same people and uses the same proven ink formulations you’ve come to trust. While the company is new, the commitment to quality, performance, and service remains exactly the same.
What This Means for You

Dedicated focus: Blue Press Ink exists to give letterpress customers a specialized, focused experience, with resources, tutorials, and products built for your craft.

Independent company: Blue Press Ink is legally separate from Southern Ink Company. Southern Ink will continue as a standalone business serving offset printers and general print supplies.

Smooth transition: Starting January 1, you’ll find all letterpress inks and related supplies at Blue Press Ink, while Southern Ink continues to operate normally for other products.
Why We Made This Change
Over the years, Southern Ink Company has grown to serve multiple printing markets. To better support our letterpress customers, we decided to create a new company focused exclusively on your needs. This allows both Southern Ink and Blue Press Ink to provide the highest level of expertise, service, and product quality in their respective areas.
